About my work
I get inspired by the clients' desired spaces and I help them shape their wishes.
We work as a team, exploring the existing spaces' potential and focused on the users' aesthetic intentions and needs.
Working with all suppliers and disciplines involved, I'm always searching for the diverse new industries and techniques.
Designing involves creating well-being.
Creating spaces is all about people...about their life stories and their dream spaces.
NOTHING CONVEYS MORE EMOTION THAN A GOOD NARRATIVE...
It is not the space itself that matters to me.
It's the poetry I see behind it.
About me
I'm Maria Roquette.
When I graduated in architecture in 2000, I joined Saraiva + Associados in Lisbon, where I worked for 8 years.
Later, I was Senior' Architect Director at Quintas de Óbidos Country Club.
At the same time I carried out my own residential projects for private homes.
In 2017, I founded AJIMOS with my partner and friend Bárbara Leitão, where we mainly worked on interior architecture and decoration projects.
My passion is beauty and I'm particularly interested in the challenge of making beauty functional.
I love to employ the right aesthetics in each, unique and meaningful space.
